Pathologists and laboratory professionals play a critical role in diagnosing and treating cancer. A new evidence-based clinical practice guideline on molecular biomarker testing for patients with early and advanced colorectal cancer was recently released by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Association of Molecular Pathology (AMP), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
The guideline will help establish standard molecular biomarker testing, guide targeted therapy decisions, and advance personalized care for these patients. Check out the video below to learn more about the guideline.
