Labs Are Vital™ is a multi-year, multi-faceted education and awareness program sponsored by Abbott Diagnostics and designed to
elevate the status of lab professionals within the health care community and the general public;

The program - which includes a public awareness campaign and a variety of Web-based resources for laboratory professionals - focuses attention on the life-saving work medical laboratory scientists provide in diagnosing disease and improving health outcomes.

Labs Are Vital™ Report
The 2008 AACC saw the launch of the Labs Are Vital Report. This Report was created to highlight the many programs and initiatives that have been implemented since the launch of Labs Are Vital in July 2006 and our professional association partnerships. From the Public Awareness Campaign and the Student Recruitment Initiative, to our Public Relations successes and Advocacy Program, Labs Are Vital is dedicated to energizing medical laboratory professionals worldwide, not just with kind thoughts but also with tangible tools and tactics.
